Honeywell to launch two connected home products

Telecom Lead America:
Honeywell is set to launch two new security and home automation products to
make homes smarter.

LYNX Touch 5100 and Tuxedo Touch Wi-Fi home
controller are part of Honeywell’s connected home portfolio.

The expansion of Honeywell’s connected home portfolio includes
programmable thermostats and applications to remotely manage comfort and
security.

“Smartphones, tablets and other web-enabled devices are
empowering families to connect to and control their homes like they’ve never
been able to before, saving time and money and bringing peace of mind,”
said Ron Rothman, president of Honeywell Security Group.

“With these security and automation systems, you can
disarm the security system for a child returning home from school, turn up the
air conditioning on the way home from work, and watch as a package is delivered
to your front door,” Rothman added.

Homebuilders are reporting increases in the demand for
home technology, with energy management and home automation systems
installations at all-time highs, according to recent data from the Consumer
Electronics Association.

Both the LYNX Touch 5100 and Tuxedo Touch Wi-Fi Touchscreen
use Z-Waveâ„¢ technology to communicate with other home devices such as
thermostats, lighting controls, shades and locks. The Honeywell Total
Connect remote interactive service and applications give consumers access to
their security systems from internet-enabled devices including smartphones,
tablets, and PCs.

Honeywell is demonstrating these products at the CEA
Line Show June 27-28 in New York.
