Integra Telecom enhances Ethernet services for enterprises in the U.S.

Integra Telecom, a provider of enterprise grade
networking and communications solutions, has expanded its Ethernet Services
product portfolio to reach more than 400,000 businesses.

Launching August 1 with full network availability October
1, Integra’s Ethernet Services will be available via Ethernet over Copper
(EoC), in more than 120 central offices and are also available via EoTDM in
nearly 300 central offices throughout the West.

This expands on Integra’s current Ethernet Service
offering which is available via fiber delivery over its 3,000 route miles of
metro fiber and 5,000 miles of long-haul fiber.

The expansion helps large, enterprise customers solve
complex business needs, including point-to-point connectivity, multiple-point
connectivity, business continuity, and access to high-bandwidth cloud services.

Product benefits include simplified network management
for rapid fault detection and monitoring, online customer portal for performance
management, bandwidth allocation and class of service modifications.

We are excited to offer businesses fast, reliable, and
secure connections,” said Bryan Adams, senior product manager, Data Services.

Integra is committed to growing our network and has
completed fiber installation in more than 1,600 buildings, meeting the
connectivity needs of our customers including data centers, regional
headquarters and multi-tenant buildings,” Adams added.

Integra Telecom’s carrier-class Ethernet Service provides
metropolitan and long haul connectivity to multiple locations. Integra Ethernet
Services offering includes the E-Line product line, with both Ethernet Private
Line, and Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL), point-to-point and
point-to-multipoint WAN connectivity for customers.

Future enhancements to the portfolio include E-LAN for
fully meshed applications, and participation in Ethernet Exchanges, enabling
greater reach for Integra’s enterprise customers and network access for
Integra’s wholesale customers. In addition, Integra is increasing data rates
for EoC access, eventually extending bandwidth up to 100 Mb/s.

Integra’s Ethernet Services product line is certified by
the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), which guarantees standards of delivery, so
customers can be assured that Integra’s products meet the highest standards in
the industry. The services are MEF 9 and 14 compliant.

Businesses of all sizes are rapidly adopting
carrier-grade Ethernet platforms as the transport method of choice. The future
of Integra is all about Ethernet. Whether delivered via Fiber, TDM or Copper,
Integra’s Ethernet Services offering provides a full range of customer
options,” said Steve Zimba, chief marketing officer for Integra Telecom.
