iPass launches new dual-circuit WAN IP VPN solution

Telecom Lead America: iPass Managed Network Services
(MNS), an enterprise WAN platform provider, has launched MultiLink Connect, a
dual-circuit WAN IP VPN solution.

The VPN solution provides a fully-managed secure network
for enterprises that currently employ a Frame Relay, MPLS, or other WAN
services to connect hundreds or thousands of locations.

iPass said MultiLink Connect helps insurance companies,
healthcare providers, financial services institutions, retailers and other
enterprises increase network efficiency and uptime by providing a highly
available, dual-circuit network at each location.

The new solution enables enterprises to benefit from
significantly increased bandwidth options, improved security and back-up
capabilities that also create a strong foundation for retail or branch office
Wi-Fi networks at more affordable rates.

“Our MultiLink Connect technology will allow
customers to take advantage of high bandwidth to deliver and enable the Wi-Fi
infrastructure customers are demanding. It also helps businesses improve
performance for business applications, maintain security, and deliver back-up
capabilities with faster speeds — all at a more affordable cost structure than
private networking technology,” said Chris Linden, vice president and
general manager of iPass MNS.

American Family Insurance, a provider of auto, home,
life, health and business insurance products, has deployed the solution.

“The iPass MultiLink Connect solution has exceeded
our expectations while also allowing American Family to realize a significant
savings in our network costs,” said Scott Cooper, network engineering
specialist at American Family Insurance.

“We could have chosen to continue with a major
national service provider but we realized that our network of 3,500 agents
would experience greater productivity and efficiency with iPass MultiLink
Connect. The focus, expertise and experience of the iPass MNS team were also
critical factors in our vendor selection process, Cooper added.
