Juniper Networks powers Ixia campus network

Juniper Networks has provided a campus network to Ixia, a provider of converged IP services testing solutions.

Juniper Networks’ campus solution
integrates fixed and mobile network access into a seamless and
highly-manageable fabric, enabling the continued development of Ixia’s Kolkata
R&D center.

Since opening its Kolkata facility in 2005,
Ixia has expanded considerably, first by adding 3G/LTE mobile network testing
and now Wi-Fi. To enable work across all IP solutions, Ixia needed to expand
the Kolkata R&D center and equip it with a new network that is flexible,
robust and secure, with support for all the latest standards.

Juniper Networks EX4200 Ethernet Switches,
deployed as Virtual Chassis, provides large numbers of wire-speed Gigabit
Ethernet access ports.

Juniper Networks WLC200 Wireless LAN
Controllers, configured as a Virtual Controller Cluster, securely provide
non-stop 802.11n wireless LAN availability through the Juniper Networks WLA522
access points.

Juniper Networks SRX650 Services Gateways
provide the site with robust security.

“Given the business it is in, Ixia is
extremely well positioned to assess the quality of campus network solutions. We
are, of course, very pleased that Juniper was the solution of choice for this
project. It is very much in line with our ‘Simply Connected’ vision for the
campus: one general purpose network for all applications, combining a
simplified wired network and high-density wireless to provide secure,
device-agnostic connections,” said Ravi Chauhan, managing director, India &
SAARC, Juniper Networks.
