LG-Ericsson Aggregator Gig Switches with 10G Uplink Anchor Business Networks

announced the launch of two new high-bandwidth, highly-secure, managed aggregator switches, the iPECS ES-4526G 24-port and iPECS ES-4550G 48-port 10/100/1000 Managed L3 switches, each with two 10G uplink slots.

These new feature-rich, stackable workgroup aggregator switches are designed to keep business networks flowing. The new iPECS ES-4526G and ES-4550G 10/100/1000 Managed L3 switches and optional SFP10G-SR 10 gigabit transceivers are available now through LG-Ericsson’s network of expert resellers and integrators.

The ES-4526G and ES-4550G are feature-rich 10/100/1000BASE-T stackable IPv6 L3 managed switches, with slots for optional 10G uplinks. Ideally suited to serving as gigabit workgroup aggregator switches, they are capable of reaching up to 128Gbps with a non-blocking switching architecture to excel in environments with high-bandwidth applications.

Supporting up to eight units in a stack, their wide range of high port density deployment options and flexible redundant 10G uplink connections make them perfect for large and/or growing environments.

10Gig Ethernet is becoming the interconnection connection of choice in data centers of all sizes, providing key improvements in terms of bandwidth, latency, scalability and reliability to help drive application performance”,  said Iain Kenney, LG-Ericsson  USA’s director of Product Marketing. These switches get businesses the bandwidth and speed that bring success today, with transition-ready uplinks that make the switches ideal for tomorrow, too”.

In addition to providing bandwidth, speed and future-proofing, the iPECS ES-4526G and ES-4550G boast advanced switching features like Quality of Service (QoS) with eight levels of priority, weighted fair queuing and L2/3/4 classifications to ensure smooth transmission of mission-critical data.

Support for VLANs based on frame tags, ports or protocol, and support for automatic GVRP LAN registration and Multiple Spanning Tree maximize both security and bandwidth efficiency. And additional security features that include RADIUS, IEEE802.1x, SSH, SSL, TACACS+, and ACL; high port density; and compact 1U high dimensions make these switches ideal for enterprise aggregation installations.
