LG rolls out QuickMemo feature for Optimus L-Series smartphone

Telecom Lead Asia: LG Mobile Communications has released
QuickMemo feature for its entire line of Optimus L-Series smartphones, which
will be available through a maintenance release upgrade.

 

The QuickMemo upgrade will be available for download
through LG Mobile’s homepage or by visiting a service center in markets where
Optimus L-Series are sold.

 

Once upgraded, users can invoke QuickMemo by pressing the
volume keys or via the notification bar.

 

The company said that the upgrade is being offered in
certain regions but will be available globally by the end of 3rd quarter.

 

Paul Bae, VP of marketing center of LG Electronics Mobile
Communications said the QuickMemo is one of the representing features for LG’s UX
(user experience) to enhance the quality of communication by sharing ideas with
more personalization.

 

The new feature allows for instant screen capture of any
type of content such as web pages, graphical images, photos and videos.

 

With the help of this new feature, users can write, draw,
or jot a memo directly on the captured screen with their finger.

 

Notes created through QuickMemo can be shared via text,
chat, or email.

 

The company has also announced a global TV commercial to accompany
the roll-out of QuickMemo on Optimus L-Series smartphones.

 

The Optimus L-Series of smartphones includes the Optimus
L7, L5, and L3 which offer timeless style without sacrificing any features or
functionality in black or white body. LG will also introduce stylish pink color
edition of the series.

 

LG Electronics launches new smartphones

 

Recently, the Korean consumer electronics giant launched
3 new smartphones – LG L series (L7, L5 and L3) and LG 4X HD Quad core in
India. LG Optimus 4X HD is available at Rs 34,990, LG Optimus L7 for Rs
19,900 and L5 at Rs 13,199 and L3 at Rs 8,895.
