LTE-Advanced functionality, 3G test capabilities that allow wireless engineers to assess, characterize and stress user equipment (UE) designs, and IP data throughput of 450 Mbps using three component carriers in realistic channel conditions are some of the main features.
The UXM wireless test comes with touch-screen user interface, flexible network emulation, MIMO, built-in fading and a dedicated applications server, said Keysight. Engineers can utilize the test for challenging UE test applications in R&D, regression test and verification.
“The extensions to the UXM demonstrate the power and versatility of the platform and Keysight’s ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive UE test solutions for the rapidly evolving wireless ecosystem,” said Joe DePond, general manager of Keysight’s Mobile Broadband Operation.
In addition, Keysight Technologies said UXM assists telecom carriers and UE developers to maximize the use of wireless spectrum with support for carrier aggregation in the downlink and uplink. This apart, the UXM provides edge FeICIC functionality for verifying HetNet and cell-edge performance enhancements.
