Procera Networks names Brian Ahearn senior VP of worldwide sales

Procera Networks, a policy enforcement company, announced
that Brian Ahearn has joined the company as senior vice president, Worldwide
Sales.

Before joining Procera, Ahearn was working for 2Wire
(recently acquired by Pace). He led a team in 2Wire that included account
management, field engineering and professional services to achieve sales of
approximately $550 million.

“Brian brings extensive experience and expertise
within the communications industry where he has forged significant strategic
relationships worldwide. He is a proven leader who brings strong sales
management experience to our executive team and we look forward to Brian taking
an active role in continuing to grow our worldwide presence,” said Jim Brear,
CEO and President at Procera.

Ahearn has 20 years of senior management experience in
telecom and high tech sales, professional services and product development,
including serving at Avaya, where he led the global service provider sales
force focused on growing business and market share with major carriers like
AT&T and Verizon.

He also served at Sun Microsystems, where he was
responsible for selling complex solutions to Sun’s largest accounts and carrier
clients.

Before Sun, he was serving a variety of leadership roles
at Telecom New Zealand, and was Chief Operating Officer at VoiceLink Systems.

“I am delighted to join Procera to help drive
continued strong sales momentum and further expand our presence worldwide.
Procera’s reputation for technology excellence is well known and has been
validated by many of my contacts throughout the industry,” said Ahearn.

Last year, Procera had created two new C-level positions at the company, in which former
Procera vice president of Global Marketing, Jon Lindan was appointed as chief
strategy officer and Peter Alm was appointed as a chief scientist.
