Progress Software appoints Keith Budge as managing director for Asia Pacific and Japan

 

Progress Software, a software
provider that enables enterprises to be
operationally responsive, announced the appointment of Keith Budge as the vice
president and managing director for Asia Pacific and Japan.

 

Based in Singapore, Budge is responsible
for managing a single integrated and customer-focused sales, services, and
support organization for all channels across Asia Pacific and Japan. In this
key role, he reports to Christopher Larsen, senior vice president of global
field operations.

 

Keith Budge takes over from Paul Henaghan,
who was relocated to North America to manage Americas region. Henaghan was
instrumental in driving Progress’ recent growth in the region.

Budge brings more than 17 years of
executive and senior management experience in the software industry in the Asia
Pacific region with eight years in the telecommunications industry, two years
in senior policymaking roles in government, and three years in retail
management.

 

Before joining Progress Software, Budge
held senior executive positions in Asia Pacific with EMC Data Computing
Division, Business Objects S.A, Oracle and Telstra Corporation. He is currently
a member of the boards of directors of Singapore International Chamber of
Commerce (SICC) and Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore.

 

Progress Software recently announced that premier Brazilian telecommunications company, Global Village Telecom
Brazil (GVT), a part of the Vivendi group, has deployed the Progress
Communications Order Management (COM) solution, across their OSS/BSS
infrastructure.

 

GVT is using the Progress COM solution to manage the core
processes around their customer’s service fulfillment and exception handling
activities for retail and corporate customers voice and broadband services.
