Rob Tarkoff joins Lithium as CEO from Adobe Systems

Lithium announced the appointment of Rob Tarkoff as chief
executive officer. Tarkoff, a transformative thought leader in digital
experiences, will succeed Lyle Fong, co-founder of Lithium, who will take on
the role of chief strategist and continue serving on the board of directors.

Tarkoff joins Lithium from Adobe Systems, where he served as
senior vice president and general manager of the Digital Enterprise Solutions
business unit that had annual revenue in excess of $1 billion.

Featured by Bloomberg Businessweek as one of the top 25
CEOs of Tomorrow, Tarkoff pioneered Adobe’s customer experience management
strategy and was responsible for the core Acrobat, Adobe Connect Web
conferencing, Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform, and customer experience
management offerings.

He oversaw the Web content management and digital asset
management solutions gained through Adobe’s acquisition of Day Software.
Additionally, Tarkoff was responsible for Adobe’s worldwide enterprise solution
partnerships, including system integration partners and strategic ISVs.

Lithium has experienced record growth in one of the
fastest growing categories in enterprise software. We’ve searched for a
world-class leader with a proven track record of operational excellence to help
us scale our success. I feel tremendously fortunate to have Rob join us – not
only for his experience, but also the authenticity he brings which is so
critical in the social space,” said Lyle Fong, co-founder, Lithium.

Previously, Tarkoff held several executive positions at
EMC Corporation, including senior vice president and general manager of the EMC
Captiva Software Division and senior vice president of business development and

officer for Documentum, Inc. and senior vice president of worldwide business
development at Commerce One.

“I am impressed with the strength of the business,
solid market position, and brand-name customers that Lithium has acquired under
Lyle’s leadership. The social software market is on the verge of unprecedented
growth, and Lithium is uniquely positioned to take advantage of this
opportunity. I am looking forward to helping the world’s best brands ignite
their customer base and engage its most passionate fans,” said Rob Tarkoff
