Sidera Networks offers dark fiber and Ethernet services to NESN

Sidera Networks, a provider of fiber optic-based network
solutions, announced that it has been selected by NESN (New England Sports
Network), New England’s most watched sports network, to enable simulcast
programming for regional broadcasts of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins
games.

Since 2003, NESN has deployed Sidera Networks’ Ethernet,
Dark Fiber, Internet Access and Managed Network Solutions for high demand,
reliable connectivity to and from major sporting venues throughout Boston.

“We rely on Sidera Networks for high quality,
reliable, ‘always on’ network solutions,” said David Desrochers, VP
Engineering for NESN.

“Since 2003, our experience with Sidera’s network
has been flawless. Sidera continues to implement new services and is able to
deliver them under aggressive timelines,” Desrochers added.

Recently, Sidera
provided a new dark fiber connection to enable the nationwide simulcast of
sports programming from the WEEI Sports Radio to its Watertown, MA broadcasting
headquarters.

NESN chose to expand its relationship with Sidera because
of Sidera’s proven top-quality connectivity and attentive support. This new
solution provides the communications infrastructure required to broadcast
Boston-area sports news and programs, support live feeds and enable nationwide
broadcasting of the Dennis and Callahan Show.

“Our network is engineered to ensure a high quality
customer experience and guarantee uptime. We are thrilled to provide the
communications infrastructure that enables quality sports programming to be
delivered day in and day out,” said Mike Sicoli, CEO of Sidera Networks.

Sidera Networks recently announced it will further expand
its network in Bristol County, Massachusetts to support OSHEAN’s mission to
provide colleges and universities with dedicated fiber connectivity to advance
the collaboration and performance of key classroom applications.
