Riverbed, Silver Peak has recently partnered with Presto Infosolutions as value
added distributor in a move to strengthen its position and presence in the
Indian market.

 

In India, the company is looking foray into WAN
optimizing business. The company said the WAN optimization market has emerged
as a mature market, adapting to customer demands, with an increased focus on
cloud and data center-to-data center deployments.

 

Silver Peak’s network approach to WAN optimization
delivers the advantages of virtual flexibility, highest capacity, and
optimization of all IP traffic.

 

The company provides the industry’s only gigabit virtual
WAN optimization appliance, a free fully functional virtual WAN optimization
appliance, and virtual products capable of supporting every major hypervisor.

 

The company said that it is one of the only vendor with
both physical and virtual appliances that scale from Mbps to Gbps of WAN
capacity with support for hundreds-of thousands of simultaneous sessions. It
optimizes all enterprise traffic regardless of transport protocol or
application version, with no risk of corrupting data or altering application
behavior.

 

The company has been working with networking, storage,
and application vendors to develop a comprehensive blueprint for application
delivery.

 

The company said that its Virtual Acceleration Open
Architecture (VXOA) is specifically designed to enable hardware and application
providers to quickly and easily incorporate WAN optimization into their
products, including routers, switches, servers, blades, and storage arrays.
It performs extensive interoperability testing with its partners to
ensure seamless operations.

 

Furthermore, the company added that it is constantly
exploring opportunities for joint development work to improve the effectiveness
of a combined solution.

 

Silver Peak is a Dell global preferred partner for
storage, networking, and server products. The company is resold by EMC, Dell
and Hitachi Data Systems (HDS).

 

Silver Peak has been qualified and deployed on a wide
range of EMC replication products, including Isilon SyncIQ, SRDF/A,
RecoverPoint, Atmos, VPLEX Geo, and Celerra.

 

Law firm selects Silver Peak for WAN optimization for
moving into Cloud

Last year, Thomson Snell & Passmore, a law firm
selected Silver Peak Systems to deploy wide area network (WAN) optimization to
support the firm’s migration to a cloud-based infrastructure.
