By Telecom Lead Team:
Tulip Telecom announced that Sanjay Jain, CEO of the company has resigned from
the services of the company due to his personal reason.

Jain joined Tulip in 2010 for driving the business augmentation, operations and
service excellence for the company.

Tulip Telecom reported
13.9 percent increase in revenues in third-quarter at Rs 686.6 crore against
revenue of Rs 602.2 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company posted net
profit of Rs 77.3 crore for the third-quarter and a basic EPS at Rs 5.33 in the
third-quarter.

The company posted
operating profit of Rs 199.1 crore against Rs 171.5 crore in corresponding
quarter of the previous fiscal, registering an increase of 16.1 percent.

A
few days back, Tulip Data Center Services launched its Bengaluru Data Center,
Tulip Data City (TDC) which is Asia’s largest and the world’s third largest
Data center.

The Tulip Data City is
a multi-tiered facility built to tier 4 and tier 3 standards.  Large
hosted Data Center facilities are multi-tenanted, and more efficient than
smaller facilities, therefore saving huge amounts of power.

Being the most ‘green’
and the most power efficient data center in India, the facility is expected to
save close to 35 MW power at full capacity.  This because of an extremely
high Power Utilization Efficiency of around 1.5 compared to the industry
average of over 2.
