announced the launch of Wipro M2M, designed to enable Communication Service
Providers (CSPs) to launch Machine-to-Machine (M2M) services quickly and cost
effectively.
M2M is a potential area of investment for CSPs. It offers a new
revenue generation opportunity for CSPs challenged with declining ARPUs due to
competition. However, M2M deployment offers several challenges to providers due
to several reasons including the paucity of robust enterprise applications,
highly complex network and device ecosystem, and long lead times for
deployment.
Wipro M2M incorporates components of Wipro RAPIDS 2.0, a
proprietary Wipro framework, which simplifies customer and partner on-boarding
processes. Unveiled
at this year’s Mobile World Congress, Wipro RAPIDS 2.0′ (Rapid Application
Integration & Deployment Solution) is designed to help Communication
Service Providers (CSPs) transform their IT stack in entirety or parts.
Wipro M2M solution helps CSPs accelerate M2M deployment. It also
reduces service costs while maximizing revenue generation opportunities. Wipro
M2M is pre-bundled with industry business models and processes thereby
empowering CSPs to reduce the gap in addressing the needs of enterprises.
With Wipro M2M, CSPs can also manage catalogues, profiles
and rate plans. Wipro M2M comes bundled with a service creation
environment, which helps not only helps to insulate the applications from the
complexity of networks and devices but also cuts down the time to deploy, by
weeks.
