Axeda unveils Axeda mobile application

Axeda, a cloud platform provider for connected products
and M2M applications, announced the launch of a beta version of Axeda Mobile, a
new smartphone and tablet application that allows companies to gain real-time
mobile access to critical connected product  information flowing through
the Axeda Platform.

With Axeda Mobile, companies can search on specific
assets and view up-to-date information on the status and overall health of
widely dispersed products while mobile. The search capability remembers devices
that were recently viewed, making data access convenient for the user.

“We realize that the people behind organizations’
connected product initiatives do not always have access to their laptops or
PCs,” said Bill Zujewski, VP of Product Strategy, Axeda.

The application also enables the user to acknowledge,
escalate, or close alarms and view uploaded text or image-based files from the
road.

Axeda Mobile was developed using advanced HTML5 features
that are supported on most newer phones and tablets. The result is a
mobile-optimized user interface that works equally well on iPhone and Android
smartphones and expands appropriately on iPad and Android tablets.

Recently, Axeda and systems integrator Walsh Vision have
teamed up on a cloud integration solution
to support advanced machine-to-machine (M2M) telematics for the auto market.

The collaboration aims to provide enterprises a flexible cloud platform they
can use to layer critical apps on top of the real-time data coming from
vehicles.
