Indian telecom carrier Idea Cellular on Tuesday said it would offer exclusive mobile based content such as Wallpaper, Ringtones, Videos, Team Anthem, News updates etc. to T-20 Cricket team Delhi Daredevils and fans.
For Idea Cellular, this is the 4th year of association with GMR Sports owned Team Delhi Daredevils. The company says this kind of association enhance its engagement with its existing and prospective customers. In addition, VAS and mobile Internet consumption will be enhanced.
For engaging with its 137 million Idea subscribers across the country, the Aditya Birla group firm has developed WAP portal.
Delhi Daredevils team coach Gary Kirsten, team captain Kevin Peterson, batsman and wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik, all-rounder JP Duminy, along with Hemant Dua, CEO-GMR Sports, Sashi Shankar, CMO-Idea, Rajat Mukarji, CCAO-Idea, and Sanjeev Govil, COO-Delhi & Haryana, Idea Cellular were present at the launch of Delhi Daredevils Fan Page.
Idea Cellular also announced its intention to launch 3G services in Delhi during the current financial year.
Idea subscribers can access the Idea Delhi Daredevils Fan Page’ and download the content on pay per use model. To access the Fan page, Idea subscribers can dial a toll free short code 530301 to receive the WAP Link.
Videos can be downloaded for Rs 5, Wallpapers, Photos and Ringtones for Rs 2 each. Idea will also make available some content for free download for its subscribers. Regular data charges would apply for these downloads.
