Kony hires Theresa Heinz to lead travel sector expansion

Kony Solutions, a mobile platform provider, announced
Theresa Heinz has joined as vice president and general manager of travel and
hospitality.

Kony powers mobile applications for 70 percent of U.S.
airlines, and three of the five top hotel chains. Building on this industry
leadership, Heinz will drive growth and go-to-market strategies to expand
Kony’s presence worldwide.

Heinz brings to Kony nearly 20 years of experience in
self-service technologies and brand innovation for the travel and hospitality
industry and complementary travel markets such as car rental, cruise line, and
e-commerce.

She served as vice president and general manager of
travel and gaming for NCR, where she expanded NCR’s focus from the U.S.
domestic market to emerging international markets, establishing NCR as the
self-service technology leader in the gaming industry.

Heinz also served as president of Kinetics, where she led
the product management and engineering group in developing and cultivating
self-service solutions for travel, entertainment, hospitality and gaming.

“In today’s travel world, it’s all about providing
the right information to the right person at the right time,” said Theresa
Heinz, vice president and general manager, travel and hospitality, Kony.

“With Kony’s vertical travel applications, companies
can increase their customer interaction with additional touch points on mobile,
increase revenue through ancillary service offers, and extend their brand by
staying connected throughout the customer’s journey. I am excited to lead
Kony’s expansion into the international travel market, and help provide
customers an enriching and complete travel experience,” Heinz added.

Built on the Kony Platform, Kony Mobile Travel
applications are a suite of pre-configured modules with out-of-the-box
functionality based on best practices for the travel and hospitality industry.

Kony Mobile Travel applications are configurable,
offering a highly personalized, branded mobile experience that allows customers
to conduct all of their travel needs on any mobile device including tablets and
any channel including truly native mobile applications, HTML5, mobile web and
SMS.

All of this is developed and generated from a single
application definition, making it not only a Write Once, Run Everywhere
technology, but also a future-proof solution that enables companies to protect
their existing investment and reduce future costs.

“As we continue to expand our customer base, we must
be able to provide a world-class product to the global market,” said Raj
Koneru, Kony CEO. “Theresa’s international expertise and industry
knowledge will help strengthen the company’s thought leadership and further
extend its position as a leader and innovator in mobility for travel and
hospitality.”

Kony Solutions recently announced the addition
of seasoned technology finance executive Kelly Enos to the management team as
chief financial officer.
