MobiHand launches ChannelConnect

MobiHand,
a provider of mobile content and application stores, has unveiled its
ChannelConnect content aggregation service, a unique ecosystem that connects
mobile application developers and application store operators.

Major new tablet manufacturers such as Cisco
and Foxconn and mobile operators such as Pelephone have chosen ChannelConnect
services to source and manage applications for consumer and enterprise
application stores.

Mobile app developers can now expand their
business through a growing number of tablet and smartphone stores with a single
contract and automated management system. ChannelConnect services enable them
to select their choice of available channels in minutes, submit only one build
and single version updates across all stores, receive integrated activity and
sales reports, and receive a single payment from a trusted source. This
multiplies their distribution reach, without multiplying their workload, and
achieves greater exposure in selected stores.

Mobile application store operators benefit from a
one-stop source of content inventory and intuitive tools to manage the selection
and performance of apps in their store. They can opt for all of the available
applications or any subset to create their own market specific consumer and/or
enterprise application stores.

For
example, a store operator may want to offer the ability for their enterprise
customers to specify their own custom application options. Furthermore,
MobiHand
provides international and localized store options in the major languages
around the world.

“Mobile
app developers have been frustrated by the complexity of distributing apps
through the proliferation of application stores in the market, which in turn,
made it difficult for the application stores to source their preferred
apps.” said Steve Howard, president and CEO
of MobiHand.
