Telecom Lead India: Tata DOCOMO has inked its partnership with OnMobile to unveil a new handset application.
The new mobile application – My Call Me Tune – allows mobile users to search, preview and buy music content on the go with better user interface.
Ensuring smooth transition from complicated user experience and an enhanced purchase experience with ease of discovery, My Call Me Tune helps shift the consumer from conventional modes of promotion to self discovery. Users can set their current as well as future presence/status, on the fly, and set it as their CMT for a fixed duration.

It not only enables ease of music discovery but also offers other innovative features such as previewing and copying of tunes, settings of tunes for specific profiles and status updates,” said Rishi Mohan Malhotra, head VAS – Tata DOCOMO.

Under this offering, a user would be able to search songs on basis of Song Name/Artist/Movie at the same time this app also allows to customize profile tunes for specific mobile numbers.
The charges for downloading songs would be Rs 15 for 90 days.
Users can also set their preferred language under settings option to customize and use their favourite songs.
One can set a particular song for a specific caller by entering his/her mobile number while requesting a Call Me Tune. This app also helps to copy a call me tune by entering the number from which user would like to copy the song.
The application is presently available for Android, Blackberry and Symbian mobile phones and would soon be available for iOS platform users also.
Recently, mCarbon tied up with Tata DOCOMO to provide technological support for Tata DOCOMO’s caller ring back tone (CRBT) service.
