OnMobile Global, a provider of mobile music offerings, has launched a digital music store for Grameenphone, a telecom operator in Bangladesh.
Grameenphone Music will be available on the Web and as an Application for more than 50 million subscribers in Bangladesh. Grameenphone Music is available through the GP Music site or the Android application available on the Google Playstore.
OnMobile has powered the technology for Grameenphone Music by integrating CMS, billing technology and content rights management.
Grameenphone Music, which has established tie-ups with 15 artistes in Bangladesh, is integrated with OnMobile’s cRBT Platform.
“Offering music tracks in a simple and easily accessible manner, GP Music will be a combination of top-notch technology and popular music,” stated Sanjay Bhambri, chief commercial officer of OnMobile.
Yasir Azman, chief marketing officer, Grameenphone, said: “We expect the launch of GP Music to promote legalized distribution of digital music in Bangladesh.”
