Persistent Systems partners with IL&FS Education to develop mobile based learning app

Persistent Systems, a provider of outsourced
software product development (OPD) services, announced its partnership with
IL&FS Education and Technology Services to develop mobile based learning
applications on IL&FS Education’s, Exploriments learning platform.

 

Exploriment is a simulation-based interactive learning
platform designed for enhancing student’s conceptual understanding in Science
and Mathematics.

 

Persistent has a holistic understanding of innovations
in the mobile industry and sees this partnership as an opportunity to develop a
unique application in the mobile education space. In addition to being the
mobile technology partner, Persistent will also be working with IL&FS
Education as their global go-to-market partner for this initiative,” said R

Systems.

 

As a technology partner, Persistent Systems will be
developing mobile based applications on the Exploriments learning model for
various mobile platforms like tablets and other hand held devices.

mobile platform providing an easily accessible, intuitive teaching and learning

Mobile learning is also considered as a new way for
learning for students in the US. According to Ambient Insight Research -The US
Market for Mobile Learning Products and Services: 2010-2015 Forecast and
Analysis’, the revenues generated through mobile learning products and services
is expected to reach $1.82 billion by 2015.

 

Exploriments, designed primarily for tablets such as
iPads, will also be compatible with various other devices such as handheld PCs
and netbooks. Leveraging the Android and iOS Centers of Excellence (CoE),
Persistent Systems will help build many such Exploriments that work on multiple
devices of different form factors. Persistent team can accelerate the
go-to-market strategy by leveraging their expertise around building several
such applications that have honed the skills of their well-qualified Mobility
engineers.

 

Earlier this year,
Persistent Systems announced that they have developed an innovative
e(experience)Commerce platform, called KLISMA, that promises to
deliver higher value and trusted experience to consumers for their planned,
normal and impulse purchases.
