Redknee Solutions enters Latin America with $5 million MVNO deployment deal



Redknee Solutions, a provider of business-critical billing and charging software and solutions, announced that it signed a term license agreement valued at more than $5 million over the initial four-year term to support the launch of a new Latin American mobile virtual network operator (MVNO).


Redknee will deploy and manage its end-to-end billing solution, allowing the MVNO to benefit from Redknee’s real-time converged billing expertise as it concentrates on launching branding and marketing campaigns.


This new customer win reflects Redknee’s growing presence in the mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) and MVNO sector, and marks its first expansion into the Latin American market which is experiencing tremendous industry growth in subscribers.


According to Informa Telecom & Media, the number of Latin American MVNO subscribers will increase at a CAGR of 28 percent from 2010 to 2013, reaching 6.6 million subscribers.
