ROK Global, a provider of mobile applications, web
technologies, applications and services announced the launch of ROK-powered ITN
Mobile TV on BlackBerry App World.
To be launching the ITN Mobile TV application on a
global scale is a great achievement and a major milestone in the delivery of
high-quality Mobile TV subscription services which utilise ROK technology to
stream content over existing mass-market 2.5G GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi networks,”
said Jonathan Kendrick, chairman and CEO of ROK.
‘We are pleased to be working with ROK to deliver our
content to BlackBerry users. The price point reflects good value for an
advertising free, Mobile TV Service,’ said Miguel Tatay, head of Mobile for ITN
Productions.
Listed on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock
Exchange, ROK Global was co-founded by US Billionaire John Paul DeJoria and
UK-based serial technology entrepreneur, Jonathan Kendrick.
ROK has pioneered many new technologies in the
rapidly-evolving mobile and web space, including mobile security technologies,
which it licenses to law enforcement agencies, as well as multi-language
text-to-speech technologies.
ROK Global recently announced an agreement
with Brand Promotion Services (BPS), for the deployment of ROK’s portfolio of
revenue-generating mobile applications to Telenor in Pakistan.
