Telecom Lead America: TomTom, a provider of location and
navigation products and services, has released an updated version of
its WEBFLEET mobile fleet management app for iPad and Android
tablets.

 

WEBFLEET Mobile gives businesses the flexibility needed
to inform customers at all times and operate an efficient vehicle fleet and
workforce.

 

The latest version of WEBFLEET Mobile aims to make the
service even more accessible for business users by using devices they already
carry with them, regardless of whether they are in the office, at home or on
the road,” said Thomas Schmidt, managing director, TomTom
Business Solutions.

 

The updated version of app offers new functionality that
allows users to view details for all current orders, manage workflow and meet
service agreements.

 

By using the app, new jobs can be sent straight from the
smart phone or tablet to a field workers’ TomTom PRO device, providing them
with all critical information about the job. WEBFLEET Mobile displays an
accurate time of arrival, which can be used to inform the customer.

 

Tablet usage is growing rapidly, accounting for around
30 per cent of non-PC internet traffic worldwide, and we realize many of our
customers utilize this technology as a key business tool. Order management
functionality ensures workflow is never disrupted, providing peace of mind that
high standards of service and productivity will be maintained,” Thomas added.

 

WEBFLEET Mobile 1.2 is available for download in the
Apple App Store and Android Market, priced 7.99 EUR, 9.99 USD or 6.99 GBP.

 

Recently, TomTom,
in a joint venture with AutoNavi Holdings, inked a seven year agreement with
Qoros Auto to deliver HD traffic to Qoros Auto customers.
