Infosys signs 18 enterprise mobility deals in Q4

Telecom Lead India: Infosys says it signed 18 enterprise mobility deals in Q4 2012-13.

For Infosys, enterprise mobility is a big focus area. The IT-BPO major helps its enterprise customers to become more efficient and customer centric.

Infosys, which assists global clients to realize the full business potential of mobility, started 18 new engagements across areas like business and technology consulting, customer outreach, mobile marketing, field services, enterprise efficiency.

However, Infosys’ revenue contribution from telecom business declined to 9.3 percent (to overall revenue) in Q4 2012-2013 from 10.1 percent in the same quarter previous fiscal. In FY 2013, revenue contribution from telecom business was 9.7 percent against 10.2 percent in FY 2012.

Meanwhile, Infosys reported that 18 percent growth in revenue of Rs 10,454 crore for the March quarter compared to the same period last year. The IT firm posted a flat 0.3 percent revenue growth sequentially.

The second-largest IT firm’s net profit rose 3.4 percent to Rs 2,394 crore in March quarter and 1.1 percent sequentially.

In the last quarter, Infosys expanded its global footprint with a new delivery center in Munich, Germany, an onshore operations center in the Metro Atlanta Area, U.S. and a new delivery center for its BPO subsidiary in San José, Costa Rica.
