Nimbuzz Holaa! platform shows caller’s location

Nimbuzz has launched Holaa!, a new call management platform, featuring caller’s name, photo and location during an incoming call.

The New Call Telecom Group company said a team of 13 young developers in India developed the innovative Holaa! platform.

The app helps block spam calls from pesky spammers or unwanted callers. Vikas Saxena, CEO, Nimbuzz India, said” “On an average, 4 out of 10 calls that a pre-paid mobile user receives are from unknown numbers while 1 out of these 4 unknown calls is a spam call.”

Holaa! enables mobile users to search people’s names based on their phone numbers and alerts the registered user if the caller is marked as spam by other members of Holaa! community. It also allows synchronization of Facebook and Google accounts into the phonebook at the same time visually enhancing it by fetching the latest photos.

It keeps a tab whenever the user moves away from their home network and notifies if they wish to block calls from unknown numbers. The app provides additional information about phone book contacts.

Users can share contact information for both phone book contacts and unknown contacts with their friends using a share option allowing the sharing of names, mobile numbers, photos and e-mail addresses. Holaa! is available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Persian and Portuguese and will be available on Android devices immediately.

“Nimbuzz’s user-base allows for the adoption of OTT / Apps relating to internet connectivity in India and in other parts of the world,” said Nigel Eastwood, CEO, New Call Telecom.

The Netherlands head-quartered Nimbuzz, which was acquired by New Call Telecom, processes over 1 billion VoIP call minutes per month, 100+ billion messages per month. It has 200 million users in 210 countries.
