Mike Troiano, vice president, Advanced Mobility Solutions, AT&T Business Solutions, said: “Our relationship with Axeda has fueled customer interest globally, and with the addition of Wipro’s Axeda-trained engineers, we’re poised to help even more businesses implement highly-secure and reliable M2M solutions.”
Recently, Vodafone Business Services (VBS), enterprise arm of Vodafone India, will provide Machine-to-Machine (M2M) services to Mahindra e2o, an electric vehicle. This is one of the major M2M deals in India. The demand for remote monitoring & control, government initiatives, launch of 3G networks and reducing human efforts are the few factors that have spurred the Indian M2M modules market.
A M2M industry report says some of the key hardware components used in the development of M2M solution include sensors, actuators, RFID, memory, power module, and communication module. The communication module is likely to hold the highest share in the M2M market and expected to grow at the highest CAGR of 32.4 percent from 2012 to 2017. 2G networks are widely deployed as they offer sufficient bandwidth and extend support to a variety of low-cost embedded data networking modules.
