Telarix unveils interconnect billing solution in Latin America

Telarix, a provider of business information exchange and
interconnect OSS/BSS solutions for content providers, IP service providers and
fixed and mobile operators, announced that it will begin providing its iXBrasil
billing solution a version of its iXTools software module to operators in
Brazil for use in managing their national billing.

Telarix said that the service is available to operators
throughout the country as a SaaS solution (Software as a Service), which will
enable operators to take advantage of the iXBrasil billing solution on a
subscription basis.

Telarix further announced the company will roll out
similar domestic iXTools billing solutions to countries throughout Latin
America in the near future.

In addition, Telarix said it will be demonstrating the
iXBrasil SAAS solution at Futurecom, which takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil,
September 12-14, 2011. The conference is one of the most influential and
comprehensive telecommunications and IT events in the world and is expected to
draw more than 15,000 visitors.

The roll out of iXBrasil to operators throughout Brazil
and similar solutions elsewhere in Latin America will help them to better
manage their national agreements,” said Glen Kazerman, chief executive officer
(CEO), Telarix.

By taking advantage of this robust SaaS solution,
operators gain unprecedented visibility into their interconnect agreements and
enhanced billing capabilities through the use of a state of the art platform
for their interconnection businesses,” Kazerman added.

iXBrasil was first developed by Telarix for
Embratel to provide a flexible tool for managing Telco cost and producing
financial traffic analysis and reporting.

The flexible system also enables service providers to
eliminate revenue leakage by ensuring that all calls are captured, rated and
invoiced correctly. And as a SaaS solution, carriers do not need any hardware
and can take advantage of the robust software module simply by participating in
Telarix Workshops to define and validate business rules, along with
configuration of their current interconnection agreements.

Once the initial setup is completed, iXBrasil is fed with
a daily CDR flow. At the end of the billing cycle, iXBrasil provides all invoices
(DETRAFs or Documento de declaraçao de Trafego e de prestaçao de serviços) as
well as reconciliation features, alerts and a wide range of reporting
capabilities.

Interconnection standards set by ANATEL and the
Standardization DETRAF group is reflected in the system features. iXBrasil
handles local and long distance calls (indirect access calls using CSPs).

By utilizing this cost-efficient billing solution,
carriers gain enhanced interoperability with service providers around the
world, the vast majority of whom rely on Telarix for comprehensive management,
optimization and settlement solutions for their interconnect agreements. As a
result, the additional transparency helps to improve business and competitive
inter carrier relationships.
