Huawei introduces Ascend D1 in China, Russia to get it in August

Telecom Lead Asia: Huawei Devices has announced the
availability of the Huawei Ascend D1, a dual-core Android 4.0 ICS smartphone in
the Chinese market through various e-commerce platforms including Vmall.com,
Huawei’s online shopping mall.

 

The company will make this smartphone available to
consumers in Russia through LANCK Telecom from August.

 

The Ascend D1 is powered by a Texas TI OMAP 1.5 GHz
dual-core CPU and 1GB RAM. The smartphone boasts a high-definition
4.5-inch, 1280 x 720 high-definition
IPS+ Corning Gorilla Glass display that provides crystal
clear images even under direct sunlight.

 

Additionally, the smartphone is equipped with Dolby 5.1
Surround Sound and Audience earSmart voice technology.

 

Having 8-megapixel BSI rear-facing camera, 1.3 megapixel
front-facing camera, and 1080p full HD video-capture and playback, the Ascend
D1 measures 64.9mm in width, 8.99mm thin and weighs 132g.

 

With 1800mAh battery and a proprietary power management
technology, the new smartphone offers up to 30 percent longer battery life
as compared to industry average by adjusting power consumption according to
usage needs.

 

The Ascend D1 also features an 8GB ROM and a slew of
business applications.

 

The smartphone offers a navigation system that uses both
the Russian satellite positioning system GLONASS and the standard US-run GPS.

 

Huawei unveils Ascend P1 TD-SCDMA and Ascend P1 2600 mAh XL
smartphones

 

Last month, Huawei Devices expanded its Ascend P1 series
with the launch of the Ascend P1 TD-SCDMA and the Ascend P1 2600 mAh XL smartphones
at the GSMA Mobile Asia Expo 2012.

 

The Ascend P1 TD-SCDMA will be available for sale through
e-commerce channels in China at the end of June, while the Ascend P1
XL will be available for sale in China in Q3.
