Lead India: Huawei Devices announced the launch of Huawei Honor
smartphone and the New Huawei Ideos X5, the HD Video Android
Cloudphone, in the Indian market.
Powered by the latest Gingerbread and ICS-ready(Android
4.0) smart-phone, Huawei Honor features a powerful 1,900 mAh battery, giving to
users upto 9 hours of talk time, 6 hours of gaming and 10 hours of video –
which means a common user on a single charge can have upto 3 days of
talk-time.
Featuring a 4″, scratch resistant Gorilla glass and FWVGA
display with 245 pixels per inch (PPI) -the highest in its category, Huawei
Honor can break any records in terms of contrast in its class, the company
said.
The smartphone is offered for a price of Rs 19,990. It
sports a sleek and premium design with a textured scratch-proof back.
With 1.4 GHz processor and a gyroscope, Huawei Honor enables a superior
gaming experience. Huawei Honor also packs an 8MP AF rear camera with HDR
allowing users to capture crystal clear pictures in ultra-bright and low lights.
Also, included is a front camera for video chatting and 720P Video recording
and playback features.
Honor also is DLNA-certified, which ensures
interoperability and ability to play content wirelessly on other DLNA-certified
devices such as digital cameras, game consoles and TVs. Honor users can
Blacklist and Whitelist calls or protect their SMS from unauthorized use. Honor
comes with a lock screen that has a built-in quick launch to the Camera, SMS
and Phone apps.
Huawei Honor comes with a unique new app – Data Traffic
Manager which allows user to set their monthly data package budget and offers
an overview of data consumption over 2G/3G, WiFi networks, the apps consuming
traffic etc., thereby helping users to experience yet keep a tab on their
monthly data consumption.

Huawei has also launched the upgraded version of Huawei IDEOS
X5. The new Ideos X5 comes with Cloud features, a 1Ghz faster processor, FM
Radio and 14.4 Mpbs faster download speeds. Available at Rs 13,800,the
new Ideos X5 offers 16GB Cloud space to store images, , music, books etc.
With Phone Finder, users can remotely locate phone or
lock, backup or delete data to prevent phone from unauthorized use. Huawei
Ideos X5 comes with a 5 MP camera with ability to capture 720P high definition
HD videos. In daylight, the phone is capable of taking sharp images with natural
colors. For indoors and at night it also comes with LED Flash.
