Nokia offers mobile apps to the masses

 

 

 

 

Nokia India strengthened its dual SIM portfolio with new affordable Touch & Type slider phones, Nokia C2-03 and Nokia C2-06.

 

 

 

 

Nokia has also introduced a single SIM variant of the phone, Nokia C2-02. These phones are targeted towards the young, savvy and chic Indians who can now avail and flaunt a range of web applications with a faster internet experience at an incredibly affordable price point.

 

 

 

 

The Nokia C2-03, the third dual SIM phone Nokia has brought to market in the last two months, comes with Nokia’s differentiated dual SIM capabilities. These include features that allow the user to personalize up to five SIM cards with a dedicated look and feel, and an Easy Swap option that lets users change SIM cards in seconds without having to turn off the phone or remove the battery. A premium version is also available with Nokia C2-06, which comes in a range of fresh colors with a clean, smooth and metallic finish.

 

 

 

 

The Nokia C2-02 is a single SIM version with a similar feature set, push messaging options and broad range of IM providers.

An industry first for young entry level consumers, all three phones deliver a faster & improved internet browsing experience through the data compression technology of the Nokia Browser. Keeping the costs of surfing low and speeding up page downloads; this technology benefits both consumers and operators.

 

 

 

 

The browser loads with a pre-defined and localized start page, giving the user instant access to the most relevant content, and is tabbed to give easy access to favorite or previously viewed information.  The new range of dual-SIM phones allow young users to access apps faster through Nokia Browser, enjoy exciting apps pre-installed on the device or choose from the wide array of apps available on the Ovi Store. The exclusive pre-installed applications will help consumers conveniently shop, book movie tickets, get their daily horoscope and do much more.

 

 

 

 

The new offerings also come with Nokia Life Tools that help improve life and work for consumers across India. Nokia Life Tools is a sms based service that offers a range of agricultural information, education and health services.

 

 

 

 

 

Nokia introduced location based service for the first time on Series 40 platform specifically designed for entry consumers in India, where local maps and places of interest are pre-installed on the phone. Users can now now use Local Search on Maps using both SMS and GPRS.

 

 

 

 

 

The three phones also pack a 2 mega pixcel camera, stereo FM radio, media player and memory support that can be expanded to a whopping 32 GB, letting users store thousands of photos, videos and music files.
