SanDisk expands retail presence in India

SanDisk, a global provider of flash memory storage
solutions, announced that it is broadening the distribution of its mobile
memory cards in India.

SanDisk selected Beetel Teletech as an authorized
distributor for SanDisk’s wide range of mobile products. Beetel Teletech, a
Bharti Enterprises Group company and one of India’s leading manufacturer and
distributor of telecom and IT products, will distribute SanDisk products to IT
and Telecom channels across the country.

We are increasing distribution of our products in order
to address the immense demand of this strategic market,” said Manisha Sood, country
manager & director, India & SAARC, SanDisk Corporation.

With Beetel’s significant distribution capabilities and
our exciting product lineup, SanDisk is well equipped to serve one of the
world’s largest consumer markets,” Sood added.

According to TRAI, India has 851.7 million
mobile subscribers, representing 50 percent more users with mobile phone than
owners of televisions. This large user base is fueling the demand
for flash memory cards that expand the built-in storage capacity of mobile
phones. Beetel’s strong retail presence in multiple cities will help SanDisk penetrate deeper
into the Indian market and provide easier access to its mobile memory products.

SanDisk is a world renowned brand and one of the best
developers of flash memory cards available in the market,” said Vinod Sawhny,
ED and CEO, Beetel Teletech Limited.

SanDisk mobile memory cards expand the storage capacity
of mobile phones, providing consumers with more room for music, photos, videos,
games, and software applications. The cards are backed by and come in 2
gigabyte (GB), 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities to meet a wide range of
storage needs.
