Sony Mobile launches Xperia neo L, its first Android 4.0 smartphone, in China

Telecom Lead Asia: Sony Mobile Communications launched
Xperia neo L, the company’s first Android 4.0 smartphone in China on Tuesday.
Sony Xperia neo L is the successor of the company’s 2011 models neo and neo
V.

 

Measuring 120.0 x 61.0 x 12.8 mm, the new Xperia neo L
features 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 4-inch display and 512MB of RAM. It
also comes with 1GB of internal storage with support for expansion via microSD
card expandable to 32 GB, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera and 1500 mAh
battery.

 

Featuring Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, Xperia
neo L will be available in Chinese market. The company has not yet announced
any plans to launch the product in other markets.

 

Sony Xperia neo L MT25i is just a software-updated
variant of the Xperia neo and Xperia neo V. These older tablets will receive an
Android 4.0 update later this year, the company said in an earlier statement.
The new Sony Xperia neo L comes with a larger 4.0-inch FWVGA capacitive
touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution.


The 5-megapixel camera features LED flash, autofocus and HD (720p) video
recording. The smartphone also comes with secondary VGA front facing camera for
self-portraits and video calls.  Sony Xperia neo L MT25i also offers
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, along with HSPA and microUSB.

 

Recently Sonly launched Xperia sola, an Android powered Xperia smartphone
in India. The smartphone will be available in India in the second quarter.

 

Xperia sola features two NFC Xperia SmartTags, Wi-Fi, Google
news and weather apps. Xperia sola supports NFC pairing, allowing user to enjoy
great connectivity with other NFC smartphones, applications and services by
tapping their smartphones together.
