Verizon Wireless and LG Mobile announce LG Enlighten

 

Verizon Wireless and LG Electronics MobileComm (LG
Mobile) announced that LG Enlighten will be available online beginning September
22.

 

Powered by Android 2.3, LG Enlighten is ideal for
messaging, email and apps in a slim and affordable smartphone.  Customers
can stay connected and up-to-date on news and their social life on the nation’s
most reliable network.

 

LG Enlighten features includes: Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 3.2-inch touch screen display (320 x
480), 800 MHz processor for performance and multi-tasking, Full QWERTY keyboard
with large keys for easy typing, Adobe Flash 10, 3G Mobile Hotspot allows users
to share a data connection with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices and Seven
customizable home screens with shortcuts to apps, favorites and widgets,

 

LG Enlighten support for Google Mobile Services,
including Gmail, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps, as well as access to
more than 250,000 apps available to download from Android Market.

 

LG Enlighten also features a suite of messaging options,
including text, picture, video and voice messaging and mobile instant
messaging.

 

Verizon recently announced that it is adding
Mobile Satellite Solutions to its Private IP service suite, combining a highly
reliable connection with portable satellite technology to provide services
where traditional terrestrial services are unavailable, unreliable or
expensive.

 

By leveraging Verizon’s multiprotocol label switching
(MPLS) global private IP network, these satellite services provide Private IP
customers with access to their private networks from virtually any place within
the satellite coverage area.
