The tablet has an 8″ capacitive two point touch screen
display. Its 360 degree G-Sensor feature makes it a complete entertainment and
leisure device
It also has a memory capacity of 8GB which is expandable
upto 32GB. The tablet is powered by a 5000 mAh battery giving it a back up of
5-6 hours.
The company is looking at expanding its tablet portfolio
in the coming months with introduction of newer models with in-built 3G as well
as other form factors such as the 7″ and 10″ model,” Kumar added.
The tablet offers Wi-Fi support and connects
with a 3G network by using the Intex dongle, which is offered along with the
product. One USB port gives this tablet the versatility of a notebook.
It has a front camera and a 3.5mm audio jack out with
built-in mike for video calls. The tablet is pre-loaded with office tools such
as Word, Excel and Power Point viewer and Adobe Reader. Weighing 475 grams, the
tablet has In-built GPS software supported by Google Maps.
As an introductory offer, Intex is bundling the i-Tab
with an INTEX 3G data card, a LAN
Adaptor, an Exclusive leather cover and a pair of Reebok
Sunglassesat no extra cost to the consumer.
The tablet can be bought through more than 15,000
distributors and reseller outlets, at 70 INTEX SQUARES, exclusive retail stores
of the company, and several hypermarkets across the country.
Last month, Intex Technologies launched INTEX SENSE, a touch screen phone. It features a 3.2
touch screen display. The phone is priced at Rs 3,690. It is available in black
and white colors.
