LG to unveil 3 new tablets in G Pad series at MedPI 2014

LG Electronics today announced it would strengthen its tablet range with the launch of G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1.

The Korean devices vendor these three new tablets will be unveiled at the MedPI 2014 — a IT/Tech trade show in Europe in Monaco — from May 13-16.

The company will be sharing more specific details later.

This is one of the efforts to gain tablet market share. Recently, research reports said Apple and Samsung lost tablet market share to Lenovo, Acer and Asus.

LG said G Pad 7.0, its smallest tablet, is designed to be held in one hand. It is targeted at the youth and for people who are looking for entertainment.

G Pad 8.0 comes with 8-inch display. It is LG’s mid-sized tablet that offers an immersive multimedia experience and smooth multitasking.

G Pad 10.1 features 10.1-inch display. It has a powerful battery to support endless hours of entertainment and fun.

The latest G Pad tablets will also include LG’s UX features such as QPair 2.0 and Knock Code. With an updated version of QPair, which was first introduced on G Pad 8.3, users can connect to their Android-powered smartphones via Bluetooth to receive notifications of calls and messages and now be able to respond directly from the G Pad.
