LG unveils Optimus Vu ahead of Mobile World Congress 2012

Mobile major LG has launched its Optimus Vu, equipped with LG LTE and IPS
display technology. The Optimus Vu will be introduced in Korea in March.

 

The Optimus Vu is
powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 32GB internal memory and a 2,080 mAh
battery. The device has a large 5-inch display with 4:3 aspect ratio, which is
set to offer a combination of tablet-like viewing with smartphone portability.

 

The Optimus Vu: was
designed to maximize what customers could do with a smart-phone. By offering an
optimal 4:3 ratio viewing experience, 5-inch display combined with superfast
LTE technology, Optimus Vu: is just one example of what we can achieve when we
combine our best technology with customer needs,” said Jong-seok Park,
president and CEO of LG mobile communications company.

 

The device comes with
an 8-megapixel camera and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, while an update to
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is said to be already in the works.

 

In addition to HDMI
(High Definition Multimedia Interface) and DLNA (Digital Living Network
Alliance), Optimus Vu comes with 32GB memory.

 

The device has a
built-in QuickClip hotkey, which allows users to conveniently capture
screenshots and memos with a single push. Jotting notes is also possible with a
finger or with the dedicated Rubberdium pen.

 

The Optimus Vu comes
preloaded with Polaris Office that allows users to open any document,
spreadsheet or presentation while on the go. 

 

Recently, LG
unveiled Optimus Sol- LG E730 and Optimus Hub E510. Running on Android 2.3
Gingerbread both models promises performance in sleek designs. The LG
Optimus Sol is priced at Rs 19,000 and the LG Optimus Hub is priced at Rs
14,500.
