Samsung stepped up pressure on Microsoft, Nokia, Apple and BlackBerry with three smart devices — Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Gear and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, 2014 Edition — that can improve productivity of business professionals.

It’s a clear message to Samsung’s new (Microsoft) and existing rivals (Apple and BlackBerry) that the Korean electronics giant is gearing up to tap the rapidly growing enterprise market. Samsung says Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 are for enterprises which are looking at BYOD (bring your own devices).

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Targeting business professionals and youth population, the 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone is 8.3mm slimmer and 168g lighter. The company says its new design is meant for improving productivity of busy users.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features 3,200mAh battery that is meant for heavy usage by business professionals.

Rear camera of 13MP with Smart Stabilization and high CRI LED flash is again targeting the business professionals. Sony Xperia Z1 comes with 27MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 supports CAT4 Carrier Aggregation, the latest 4G technology that will be used extensively in the U.S. and Asia.

Running on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), the smartphone comes with the latest 3GB RAM. In addition, the smartphone has 32/ 64 GB user memory + microSD slot for up to 64GB.

Targeting the youth, Samsung will offer exchangeable back covers in dozens of additional colors at launch.

The company says the advanced S Pen is designed to be fully functional as a communication driver between the phone and the user.

Galaxy Note 10.1, 2014 Edition

Galaxy Note 10.1, 2014 Edition is powered by 1.9 GHZ Octa Core processor.

The 10-inch tablet has WQXGA Super clear LCD (2560×1600) resolution.

Like Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with the latest 3G RAM.

In addition, it has 16/32/64GB Internal Memory that can be expandable up to 64GB through a microSD.

The tablet has Li-ion 8,220mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).

The tablet also includes Galaxy Note 3’s updated S Pen features such as Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write and S Finder to improve day-to-day life of business professionals.

Targeting BYOD segment, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition will come in three connectivity options: Wi-Fi Only, Wi-Fi and 3G, Wi-Fi and LTE, available in 16/32/64GB + Micro SD.
