Sprint veteran Sanjiv Sharma joins KeyPoint Technologies to head sales

Telecom Lead America: KeyPoint Technologies, a provider of predictive input technology for smartphones and tablets, has appointed Sanjiv Sharma as its sales head and Ronald Brown as its marketing head.

Both Brown and Sharma are based in the Bay Area as KeyPoint joins the scores of international companies that maintain development and other resources here in a wellspring area of talent and innovation in computing-, telephony- and mobile-related capabilities.

Brown was named vice president of Marketing with global responsibility.

Sharma was named vice president Sales for the Americas and Europe.

“Ron and Sanjiv are dynamic leaders who have the experience that will help us gain more awareness of Adaptxt’s powerful text-input capabilities in the competitive U.S. and European markets and beyond,“ said KeyPoint CEO Sumit Goswami.

Brown worked with companies such as Nestle, J. Walter Thompson and BBDO. At JWT, he managed the HP computers and printers businesses, and then moved to Wyse Technology as VP Corporate Marketing. At eFax.com, he built one of the fastest growing consumer internet sites. As a consultant with Philips Electronics, he focused on launching new products.

Sharma was most recently with Sprint, where he worked with companies such as Adobe, EMC, Quanta Construction and Costco. Previously, he was at Oasys Mobile, where he managed more than 40 wireless carriers, content partners and premium brands. He launched business initiatives with Vodafone, T-Mobile Europe and USA, O2, Telcel Mexico and Bell Canada.

KeyPoint has a strong presence in India, Japan and Europe, and enjoys technology relationships with partners in Taiwan and Korea. It is now intent on developing a stronger presence in the Americas and Europe with plans to expand its team in San Jose in the future.
