In June 2012, Vodafone had introduced 60 percent discount on international tariffs.

The new data package is expected to increase data usage among Vodafone users who are travelling abroad.

Vodafone is currently offering three unlimited international roaming data packages: rental of Rs 1499 (3 days), Rs 2499 (5 days) and Rs 3499 (7days).

Usage on any other international operator’s network in these countries will be charged at standard international data roaming charges of Rs 5.50/10 KB. The rental charge for the plan chosen by the customer will feature in the billing cycle.

“We constantly work to add value for our customers. There is an increasing demand for data usage while on international roaming and our latest international roaming data packages bridges this gap and guarantees affordable connectivity for our customers travelling to high traffic destinations like Japan and Saudi Arabia. Ensuring quick data access upon arrival, it addresses the needs of diverse customer segments,” said Sunil Sood, chief operating officer, Vodafone India.

Recently, TelecomLead.com reported that Vodafone has launched Vodafone Angel store in Mumbai. The store is managed and run by women employees. This initiative is in line with Vodafone’s plan to encourage diversity and inclusion at workplace by improving itself by offering its employees with best in industry workplace conditions.
