Telecom Lead India: Tablets provider ZenFocus is targeting 10 percent market share in Indian tablet market in 2013.

In the overall India tablets market, Micromax leads with 18.4 percent share, followed by Samsung at second position with 13.3 percent and Apple at third position with 12.3 percent, in terms of sales (unit shipments) during the 2Q 2012.

ZenFocus is planning to expand its distribution network all over India in order to grab more market share.

It has already appointed few distributors in select locations in India but in order to meet the accelerated growth, there is an aggressive plan to expand the dealer and distribution network all over India.

The company has 252 service centers all over India.

“Our immediate focus is to build the distributors’ network which can cover one or multiple states and help us in the distribution of the Tablet. We are very sensitive to our business partners and are looking for distributors all over India,” said Mike Dhall, CEO of ZenFocus.

“Before we started the appointment of distributors, our main focus was to design a quality tablet which is acceptable and affordable to a large market segment. We have done this by launching three tablets,” Dhall added.

The company says the tablet market has grown to around 20 lakh in 2012 from 2.5 lakh units in 2011.

The market is poised to grow further with a demand across almost all levels in India – both big and small cities.
