ZTE launches 7-inch HD Light Tab 2 tablet for $370

ZTE has
launched Light Tab 2, tablet PC that is compatible with 3G and WiFi and contains
a 1.4GHz processor faster than most single or dual core products on the market.


Global launch
was done in Hong Kong, Spain and Indonesia. The global rollout of the tablet
will continue in Europe in France and the U.K. and in Asia in Malaysia from early
2012.


The Light Tab 2
has a 1024 x 600 7-inch HD touchscreen that provides crystal-clear images and
supports Dolby surround sound for a superb audio video experience.


It supports all
mainstream video playback formats including H.264, MPEG4 (720P), and Flash. The
tablet has two high-quality cameras. A 300,000 CMOS front camera, and a CMOS 3M
pixels rear camera with autofocus and 1.6x digital zoom. The tablet’s 1.4GHz
processor also provides high-speed multitasking, making it an ideal mobile tool
for work or play.


The
multi-lingual Android 2.3.5 smart operating system features GPS, enables
seamless multitasking on the tablet and provides access to 300,000 apps in the
Android Market. The ZTE Light Tab 2 frees customers to play with apps, browse
the Internet, read books, listen to music or watch movies anywhere.

The global
release of the Light Tab 2 is just in time for the holiday season and builds
off the success of ZTE Light Tab 1. It’s ideal for first-time tablet owners and
is now available in all major Hong Kong computer stores, including Fortress and
Wilson. It retails for the competitive price of HKD 2,880 (USD370.20). In
Spain, the product will be priced affordably at €269 and will be the company’s
main release for Christmas.
