DSP Group powers CAT-iq 2.0-certified VoIP base station offered by Swissvoice

Telecom Lead America: DSP Group announced that its VoIP
chipset is powering the CAT-iq 2.0-certified VoIP base station offered by
Swissvoice.

Anchored by DSP Group’s XciteR chipset, Swissvoice’s IB
200 is the first VoIP base station to be certified by the DECT Forum. The base
station supports HD voice and other features to enhance user experience via an
Ethernet connection to the IP network.

At present, the company’s solutions power the majority of
CAT-iq 2.0 certified devices worldwide. DSP Group has been involved in all stages
of defining the next-generation cordless technology through its deep
affiliation with the DECT Forum and Home Gateway Initiative. DSP Group also has
played a leading role in defining ETSI specifications and supporting CableLabs’
specification activities.

“We are pleased to be partnering once again with DSP
Group on developing and expanding our CAT-iq 2.0 offer; the combination of
DSPG’s chipset and Swissvoice’s software and product design expertise is the
key enabler for this achievement. IB 200 is an ideal solution for the
deployment for VoIP, HD voice, home monitoring and smart application for
broadband networks,” said Jean-Claude Lebrun, CEO of Swissvoice.

“Swissvoice’s newly certified CAT-iq 2.0 base
station, which is the first of its kind in the industry, reflects the two
companies’ partnership and our leadership in advanced telephony, VoIP and
CAT-iq,” said Ran Klier, VP Sales & Marketing Europe and Americas of
DSP Group.

“As a true market innovator, Swissvoice has a proven
track record launching state-of-the-art products such as the IB 200. We are
proud that Swissvoice had selected our industry’s most advanced hardware and
software baseline that serve as the foundation of Swissvoice’s innovative
solutions.” Klier added.
