MWC 2016: ZTE will have SDN, NFV, Pre5G and 5G solutions for telecoms

ZTE SDON solution
Chinese telecom network vendor ZTE – at MWC 2016 — will present new products and solutions focusing on mobile Internet.

Some of the new offerings will be in Pre5G, 5G, and the smartphone and mobile space. ZTE is also focusing on innovation in SDN, NFV as well as video services on 4K set top boxes.

Pre5G technologies, ultra dense network and multi-user shared access, will be showcased at MWC. ZTE will share the progress its 5G technologies have achieved in network architecture design, MIMO, high-frequency communications, IoT integration and more.

At MWC, ZTE will announce partnerships with chipset makers and telecom network operators to develop 5G network architecture.

ZTE will demonstrate the latest progress in Pre5G jointly with major Japanese and Korean operators. It will share the experience of deploying with Russian operators, a virtual evolved packet core (vEPC), and discuss the building, with Italian operators, the biggest time division duplex (TDD) network in Europe.

Video will consume more than 95 percent of data traffic on operator networks by 2020. ZTE will present Big video white paper at MWC. The whitepaper will describe the four development features of the big video service, analyze challenges to operators in video service operations, and offer suggestions and solutions.

At MWC, ZTE will release its ElasticNet-based bearer network solution, aiming to promote SDN/NFV in the bearer network field. This solution includes the Cloudworks for microservices, to help telecom operators build platform-as-a-service (PaaS) for higher NFV/IT software deployment and operation efficiency.
