Overture expands 2x Ethernet demarcation portfolio

Telecom Lead America: Overture Networks, a Carrier
Ethernet edge and aggregation partner for service providers and network
operators, is expanding its 2x Ethernet demarcation portfolio.

The company has launched multiple new models, including
an entry level model offering a lower cost point solution, additional customer
facing interfaces, and ITU-T G.8261 syncE options for timing-critical
applications.

Among the new Overture 2x models being launched are
Overture 24SE, Overture 26RS, Overture 26Y, Overture 26YS, Overture 26YR, and
Overture 26YRS.

Arming customers to compete successfully in today’s
market means delivering innovative service management solutions with the right
mix of features for the right price,” said Vijay Raman, vice president of
product management and marketing, Overture.

The company said that its 2x product line now provides
customers with additional options for achieving greater control over and
visibility into the complete service performance.

These newest additions to the Overture 2x family also
preserve access to critical features like intelligent Service Level Agreement
(SLA) monitoring, and produce tangible cost-savings.

The combination of service reliability, performance, and
price is vital for fiber backhaul providers like DukeNet. With the Overture 26,
we were able to realize all of the above. It’s a win-win for both our customers
and us – our customers get the top-quality service they expect and we get an
innovative, cost-effective Carrier Ethernet solution backed by Overture’s
demonstrated commitment to customer support,” said David Herran, senior
director of network architecture and technology, DukeNet Communications.

Overture 2x products offer the rugged durability needed
for remote deployments and managed customer premise installations.

The company added that its 2x products are designed for
maximum uptime, simple service management, and flexible deployment models and
now covers even more business services and mobile backhaul applications.
