ZTE India announces restructuring of senior management team


ZTE announced restructuring of the senior management team
at its India operations. The company has roped in local Indian talent for top
level positions.


The appointment of Indians at senior management positions
is central to and a critical aspect of ZTE’s localization strategy for the
Indian market. With this latest initiative, ZTE India’s local Indian workforce
strength now stands at 90 percent of its total strength of over 3500 employees
in India.

take the company’s growth story to the next level and we felt it imperative to
reorganize the top management team with local Indian talent as we focus on
consolidating our presence in India. These appointments also demonstrate ZTE’s
commitment to localization in the Indian market as it looks at building a
strong and capable top management team to take on the challenges of the
future.” said Cui Liangjun, CEO, ZTE India.


Yotesh Sharma has joined as the sales head for ZTE India
and will be reporting to the CEO of ZTE India, Cui Liangjun. His last
assignment was with Huawei and he brings with him over 18 years of rich telecom
experience and extensive expertise in establishing a strong sales team. In his
new role, Yotesh will head ZTE India’s sales function across all existing and
new product lines and will also be responsible for establishing long term
strategies and partnerships for ZTE’s clients in India.


Kapil Ahuja has been named as the chief technical and
marketing officer for ZTE India and will be reporting to Cui Liangjun, CEO, ZTE
India. Kapil joins ZTE from Nokia Siemens Network (NSN) and brings with him
over 17 years of rich experience across various aspects and domains of the
telecom industry. In his new assignment as CTO at ZTE India, Kapil shall be
responsible for identifying ZTE India’s long-term vision and will play a key
role in defining the overall company strategy and driving business value
creation for customers by pursuing new market opportunities and forming
strategic partnerships. He will lead the technology team and will be
responsible for positioning ZTE at the forefront of technological innovations
in the industry.


The company has also named Shuktij Singh as senior vice
president – IESC (Indian Engineering Service Center). Shuktij joins ZTE from
Nokia Siemens Network (NSN) and has over 17 years of rich experience across
various aspects and domains of the telecom industry. In his new role, he will
be responsible to turn around the service & delivery of ZTE equipments and
Network Operations Center (NOC).


With over 22 years of telecom experience, Pradeep Kumar
Yadav, has been appointed as the chief information security officer for ZTE
India. He joins ZTE from Videocon Telecommunications, where he served as the
corporate vice president deploying IT & Network, VAS, Call Center devices
and applications for all new circles. In his new role, Pradeep will focus on
implementing and deploying ZTE’s IT framework across telecom operators. Pradeep
will be responsible for ensuring that  ZTE India closely adheres to the
best security practices and global standards along with full compliance with
the Indian Regulatory guidelines to become the leading IT & Networking
organization in the country.


The company has appointed Ravinder Diwan as the HR Head
for ZTE India. Ravinder has more than 15 years of experience and joins ZTE from
Huawei. In the new role, he will be responsible for spearheading the overall HR
activities of ZTE India and will work towards strengthening the organization
policies and implement best practices with the aim of making ZTE India as an
employer of choice.
