Altice Europe revenue fell 0.4 percent in Q1 2019 vs. –1.7 percent in Q4 2018 and –3.5 percent in 2018.
Altice Europe made significant investments in networks, customer premise equipment and innovative new services. Total capital expenditure for Altice Europe reached €771 million in Q1 2019.
“Significant investments in networks, as well as the consistent improvements in customer care, have led to a material reduction in churn rates, call volumes and strong improvement in customer satisfaction,” Patrick Drahi, Altice Europe founder, said.
Altice Europe has generated first quarter revenue of €2.537 billion from France, €498.7 million from Portugal, €231.6 million from Israel and €138.9 million from Dominican Republic.
Altice France generated revenue of €627.7 million from fixed, €1011.7 million from mobile and €806.8 million from Business segments. Altice’s fiber Internet network has passed 12.978 million homes in France.
Altice France has 2.637 million fiber cable users. Altice France has 6.466 million fixed line customers. Altice France has 15.4 million mobile phone customers including 13.866 million post-paid and 1.534 million pre-paid customers.
Altice France’s Capex reached €581 million in Q1 2019, an increase of €13 million reflecting fixed and mobile network investments, with optimization through refurbished equipment to limit success Capex.
Altice Portugal generated revenue of €153.6 million from fixed, €136 million from mobile and €219.3 million from Business segments. Altice’s fiber Internet network has passed 4.592 million homes in Portugal.
Altice Portugal has 845K fiber cable users. Altice Portugal has 1.585 million fixed line customers. Altice Portugal has 6.367 million mobile phone customers including 2.991 million post-paid and 3.375 million pre-paid customers.
MEO has reached almost 4.6 million fibre homes passed (+102k in Q1 2019), on track for its target for nationwide fibre coverage of 5.3 million homes. MEO’s mobile infrastructure reached 98.6 percent 4G and 75 percent 4G+ population coverage.
Altice Portugal’s Capex was €100 million in Q1 2019 vs €105 million in Q1 2018, reflecting sustained network investments.
Altice Israel has generated revenue of €139.5 million from fixed, €63.7 million from mobile and €28.4 million from Business segments. Altice’s fiber Internet network has passed 2.138 million homes in Israel.
Altice Israel has 992K fiber cable users. Altice Israel has 992K million fixed line customers. Altice Israel has 1.307 million mobile phone customers including 1.147 million post-paid and 160K pre-paid customers.
The Capex of Israel (HOT) reached €58 million in Q1 2019.
Altice Dominic Republic
Altice Dominic Republic generated revenue of €25.3 million from fixed, €87.1 million from mobile and €26.5 million from Business segments. Altice’s fiber Internet network has passed 756K homes in Dominic Republic.
Altice Dominic Republic has 192K fiber cable users. Altice Dominic Republic has 325K fixed line customers. Altice Dominic Republic has 3.064 million mobile phone customers including 50K million post-paid and 2.485 million pre-paid customers.
Altice Dominicana’s 4G coverage was 97 percent in Q1 2019, supporting consumer needs for data traffic. Total Capex was €28 million in Q1 2019.
