Telecom operator AT&T has enhanced wireless communication services in Huntington by adding a new cell tower to its 4G LTE network.
AT&T said its investment will assist wireless customers south of Huntington along the I-64 corridor near 16th Street to experience better network connectivity.
“We want our customers to have a great experience. They’ll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network— which is the nation’s best data network,” said Andy Feeney, regional vice president for AT&T External Affairs in West Virginia.
AT&T said it invested nearly $200 million in West Virginia wireless and wired networks during 2014-2016 to ensure reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses.
