Speaking at the launching of the 4th edition of its Sustainability Report 2013 -14 in Delhi, Colao said that the company is impressed by the result from its health initiatives in Africa, farmers’ community in Turkey.
He said Vodafone believes in education and empowerment of women.
Spectrum needed
Colao said he welcomed the digital initiatives from the BJP Government. “But we need spectrum to resolve our issues. We are ready to invest more in India. We can invest to improve broadband connectivity,” Colao said.
He skipped questions on tax case that is bugging Vodafone India.
“We can deliver as a private company. We can offer mobile money services, financial inclusion, etc. We like several regulatory approaches of the government. But we took several months to progress on mobile money services.”
The program of the government is positive. But government decisions are not reflecting in administrative executions. They are taking time and we need quick decisions.
