MTNL introduces new 3G data plans in Mumbai

Telecom Lead India: In order to woo its customers in
Mumbai, state-run mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) has
come up with more affordable high speed 3G mobile broadband connectivity.

 

The service operator has introduced two new 3G Data Plans
of Rs.1190 and Rs.1200 for all prepaid and postpaid customers in Mumbai.

 

The operator said that its new 3G data plans are
tailored to cater to the specific needs and requirements of different customer
segments as it brings to the table a fantastic combination of an affordable
price and freedom of data usage validity.

 

The 3G Data Plan of Rs.1190 provides 9 GB
3G Data usage (Home and Roam across India) valid for 90 days (3
months) from the date of activation or recharge. With this plan customers
will also get 350 Free SMS (Local & National).

 

The company said that this plan is available for all
prepaid customers and can be activated or recharge via E-top-up through
MTNL CSC and Distributors /Retailers across Mumbai or Online from MTNL Mumbai
web portal.

 

MTNL has also introduced new Monthly 3G Data
Plan-1200 for Prepaid and Postpaid customers for
Rs.1200, which provides 15 GB 3G Data usage per month.

 

The company said that it also offers 3G data tariff
plans for postpaid and prepaid customers starts from just Rs.22. MTNL also
providing ‘True Unlimited 3G Data Plans’ for Rs.1650 and Rs.2500.

 

The company said that it has special tie up with BSNL for
mobile broadband technology coverage across more than 1000 cities.

 

State run telecom major MTNL may drop LTE 4G plans in India

 

MTNL is planning to drop its LTE 4G launch. The company
did not get bid from potential partners for launching BWA / 4G / LTE services
in Mumbai and Delhi circles. The decision to cancel its LTE service is
happening at time when Bharti Airtel launched 4G service in Kolkata on April
